So, after a lot of test nails, I finally have a full set of nails! :) I didn't really plan this design...just sort of happened...like so many things in life! :) the result is something which reminds me of Wedgwood, hense the title :) I hope to get this set up on Etsy very soon and will post a link here :)
Hi all :) I've been really inspired by LOTR's lately, it's always been a fave trilogy of mine but since digging them out again and seeing more and more about the future Hobbit film I've rekindled my love for this fantasy world :) So naturally I have been itching to do a set of nails with this in mind! Today I got my paints out and just practiced a scene which I thought would be PERFECT for it :) Just an insight into something that will be happening in the very near future ;)
Decided to use my powders to create a custom nail colour. I used a pink and peachy orange powder and layered them while they were still wet. After buffing I applied Revlon Pink Nude Enamel to give it a sheer gloss :)
7 maybe 8 (9 or 10) attempts later and I have a 3d acrylic flower! :D and still a quarter of the film to go ;) very happy with this one! :)
So the weather is dull, I have 2 boxes full of nail stuffs... LOTR's Two Towers is on and my brushes are out! Today I will attempt to make my first 3d acrylic flower... Good job it's the extended LOTR's version ;)
